Through Numbers
This is my 85th blog post as a widow.
By 71 years + 230 days, time marked 32 years since Dan’s first heart attack at age 39.
When he died, we had been married for 18,913 days (50 years + 9 months) when no one thought these two crazy kids would make it to year 10.
Living became possible partly due to 23,360 doses of a handful of pills taken faithfully 2 times a day.
Times he missed taking said pills could be counted on just 1 hand.
Dan lived 5 years longer than the age his father died.
When Daniel Paul Neff died, he was the proud father of 7 children,14 grandchildren, and many beloved adopted children through the years.
Since his death on April 15, 2021, one beloved grandson and one beloved great-grandson were born into our family.
One amazing human.
A beloved man who leaves a great gap in his absence.
On Christmas day, we raised a glass to this great man whom we were blessed to call our own.
We miss you, honey.
Stay near.
