Twirling
down a long hallway,
Softly lit with shimmering lanterns.
Spinning from side to side, one door here,
Another, there.
Fingers gliding gracefully,
and with longing
Over memories and emotions.
The past rising up, bowing its’ head in homage,
Flower blossoms of the past carpeting wide planked floors…
Sprinkling colors over me…garden spectrums of days gone by.
I pause,
my own head bowed in homage.
Heart surging, pain aching, Love pulsing,
Balancing, storming, undulating…all that is between pain and Love and Time where we were, and now, where I am.
Clasping my past that was ours softly and gently to my breast.
Remembering hard kisses,
Feet moving, passion flaring.
Body straightens,
Shoulders back, arms lift,
Eyes lidded,
Music in my veins,
Echoing without sound to the listening ear,
Twirling in arms remembered,
Time past,
Time remembered,
Time held.
Love cherished.
Twirling, dipping, sighing.
Flower strewn, lantern lit,
Your breath, my breath,
Your Love, my Love,
Hallway. Corridor. Archway.
Temple. Altar.
Memory.
Love.
