On the Eve of Camp Widow San Diego — 2023
It is a joy and a privilege to attend Camp Widow’s 15th Anniversary camp in San Diego this Thursday.
A-a-a-a-n-d — I am not packed!
This is a revised post from February 2022, offering a vision of hope through the lovely nasturtiums.
Studying a nasturtium leaf is magical!
Its beauty brings to mind images of fairies hiding beneath, or tiny creatures using the leaf as an umbrella amid a summer rainstorm.
Like nasturtiums, widowed folk are found everywhere.
We are “in process” and each day looks slightly different from the next, depending on circumstances.
Sometimes we feel completely alone . . .
yet, healing in difficult circumstances requires support.
There are times when problems loom LARGE over us . . .
. . . reaching out to a widowed community helps.
Meeting others who are on the path of grief provides a comfort that leads to growth and healing, even though . . .
. . . the way we live and the way we grieve varies greatly from one widowed person to another.
We are connected by our common journey . . .
Keep growing. It is possible to bloom in a brand new way.
Where are you this week on your particular path?
There are many ways to reach out and find support.
We are here for you.
